Danby Compact Laundry System

By Kangaroo Kangaroo

Danby produces a convenient compact, laundry cleaning machine.
It is just the right size to fit into a small apartment or cottage.
It's dimensions are 30” X 19”X 34”. It comes in a white neutral color. This blend nicely with the color scheme of the home.

The frame of the washer is mounted on 4 wheels.
It is easy to move around a room. When needed it can be wheeled to the side of a kitchen counter top sink.
There is a rubber filler hose included with the washer.
The filler hose easily attaches to a kitchen facet, through a rubber slide on end. The other end of the filler hose,
slips on to a fitting on top of the washer.
There is a hose coming out of the bottom of the washer which can be placed in the counter top sink for draining the wash water.

The Danby washer has a control panel strip which features several knobs. The first knob on the left side, is for timing the washing and rinsing of clothes. To the right is a knob to select the level of wash action. Selections include, soft, normal, and heavy. To the right is a
wash/drain control slide switch. This allows you to select whether you want to wash clothes or pump the water out of the washing machine.

To use the washer fill it with water to the water level indicator line.
The water is added to the washing machine through the rubber filling hose coming from the kitchen facet.
The soap is added to the water.
The clothes that need cleaning are loaded into the washer tub. The timer knob is set to the washing time you want the clothes to wash for. A maximum of 15 minutes is available per cycle. The washing action knob is set to wash at soft, normal, or heavy level. Always check to see that wash /drain selector switch is set to wash. Place the
lid on the washing tub compartment. Plug in the power chord to the electrical outlet. The machine will start washing.
When the 15 minutes of washing has completed, the washer will automatically stop running. Slide the wash/ drain selector switch to the drain position. Turn the timer to about 3 minutes. The washer pump will start pumping out the water from the wash tub, along the rubber pipe into the kitchen counter sink.

When the water in the wash tub has been pumped out, unplug the washer. Slide the wash drain selector switch to wash again. Fill the wash tub with rinse water. Set the timer for how long you want the clothes to rinse, in the wash tub. Plug in the washing machine. The washer will
then rinse the clothes in the fresh water. When the rinse time has completed, the washer will automatically switch off. Repeat the steps for draining out the water in the wash tub.

When the water is all drained out of the washer tub, unplug the machine. Remove the wet clothes from the washing machine.
Load the damp clothes into the spin dryer compartment.
Be sure to center the clothes in the spin basket compartment. Failure to do so will cause a monstrous wobble in the basket. Insert the rubber basketlid into the top of the spin basket. Close the outer lid of the spin dryer. Turn the spin dry timer knob to the maximum position. Plug in the power chord of the washer. The spin dryer will start spinning the water out of the wet clothes. The water will be pumped into the kitchen counter top sink. When the spin cycle has completed the machine will turn itself off. Unplug the machine. Open the lid to the
spin dry compartment. Remove the rubber spin basket lid. Remove the clothes. They will be a little damp. Hang them up in a warm room, or out side if the weather is warm and sunny. If you have an electric clothes dryer, the damp clothes will dry even faster.

Remove the drain hose from the kitchen sink. Place the end of the drain hose in the washer tub compartment. Take off the filler hose, from the facet. Drain the water out of it by holding it up vertically above the sink. Then store the filler hose in the washing tub compartment of the washing machine. Place the rubber spin basket lid into the spin basket, handle facing up. Put the end of the power chord into the end of the wash tub of the machine. Cover the washing compartment loosely with its' lid. Switch the drain /wash selection switch to the wash position. Wheel the washer to the spot where you store it when not in use.

The Danby spin washer is a compact convenient alternative to the full sized built in washing machines. It is ideal for washing clothes in a small living environment.
